Biographical history
Martin Trudel est né à St-Prosper-de-Champlain le 23 mars 1912. La même année, ses parents, J.-Dollard Trudel et Noémie Jacob viennent s'établir à Amos. M. Trudel a été copropriétaire de la compagnie Régional Autobus Transport, il a aussi travaillé à la construction de routes avant d'ouvrir un garage de mécanique automobile et d'équipement routier. Marié à Bernadette Charest le 11 août 1938.
Martin Trudel est décédé le 6 février 1999 à Amos.

Le fonds a été déposé par Jeanne d'Arc Trudel, à la demande de Martin Trudel, le 7 janvier 1999.
Scope and content
Le fonds comprend des documents textuels concernant principalement la famille Trudel, mais regroupe aussi des notes manuscrites, publications et coupures de presse sur l'Abitibi. La collection de photos porte sur l'histoire d'Amos et la construction de la route 117 traversant le parc La Vérendrye.
