History
David Gourd a eu son magasin général de 1912 à 1964, qui devient Drouin et Allard de 1964 à 1976. L'édifice fut démoli en 1985. Nous croyons aussi que c'est David Gourd qui offrit le premier service d'arrangements funéraires, en 1935. La famille Gourd avait sa résidence de l'autre côté de la rue (1912-1950). Leur maison, agrandie, abrite la Taverne André-Michel depuis 1969 et le Bar L'Autre Place. Elle avait aussi abrité de 1960 à 1964 le Salon funéraire Brien. Aujourd'hui, le site est occupé par le restaurant McDonald's et son stationnement (12, 1re Avenue Est - coin Principale Sud).
