Biographical history
Durant ses années de formations collégiales et universitaires, Daniel Rompré s'initie à la photographie et s'intéresse au cinéma et à la télévision. Il est photographe officiel du journal L'Écho abitibien de 1977 à 1980 puis devient professeur de photographie à la Polyvalente de la Forêt à Amos. Lors des années suivantes, il travaille comme photographe de presse et caméraman à son compte ainsi que pour différents employeurs tels que Radio-Nord communications et le studio DA-RO Inc. d'Amos.
